I took this photo for the #michaelschallenge. I actually took this photo of my model in an aisle of Michaels covered in fake fern plants. The goal of the Michaels Challenge is to use their fake plant selection to make it look like you aren’t in their store. I found this photo breathtaking. And was so pleased with its mood of a horror movie, or dramatic scene of hiding and seek. Therefore the name “Eye Run, but Eye Can’t hide”

This young osprey had either been unsuccessful returning to the nest or injured itself on an early flight and was perched on a large boulder beside the highway in the Kootenays just south of Nakusp. It is puffed up to as large as it can get to intimidate me into leaving. Out of respect I only snapped a couple of images and scooted.

Absolutely loved this place. It’s not easy to get to and you absolutely need to be ok with driving a long way in a car, but that island, albeit, small is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

We canoed 14km down Maligne Lake to Spirit Island in perfect conditions. On our way back up the lake the weather changed swiftly and the 14km back to the boat house against relentless headwinds and strong waves almost broke us. A true adventure we’ll never forget.
